This term was coined by writer Audre Lorde and this type of writing has taken many different forms since she wrote her biomythography Zami: A New Spelling of My Name. For our class, this is a very open, creative assignment. Your goal is to write about yourself, but you can do it in the most unusual ways if you choose. It may take the form of a memoir or narrative with elements of fiction, or it may look like poetry. The key is using your creativity to cultivate a theme that explores an aspect of your life, identity or vision. As mentioned in class, this may feel like chaos because you have very few parameters, but don't worry and put your best foot forward.
